VubaRend – Vertical Binder 1kg

Instructions

PRIMING:
The same product is used for both the tack coat and the binder. Apply the VubaRend to the vertical
surface using a scraper or a trowel at a coverage rate of 600-650g per m2. A 1kg VubaRend pouch covers
approximately 1.6m2 when used as a tack coat.
Porous Surfaces:
For highly porous surfaces, you can at first apply an initial thin application of tack coat. Allow this to soak in,
and then apply tack coat over the top as normal.
Smooth Surfaces (Or for an Enhanced Hold):
For smooth surfaces, or for additional support when applying vertically, you can apply a grip coat to the
vertical surface. You would do this by applying Vubaprime EP-TC, a thickened epoxy primer, to the vertical
surface, and then broadcast with Vuba Grip Quartz, a 1 – 1.4mm quartz aggregate at a 65% coverage. You
would then leave this to cure overnight and then apply tack coat as normal to the profiled surface. The
profile helps provide a key to grip to.

REPAIRING:
You can “base out” any areas of undulations and in need of repair by application of the VubaRend system
in isolated deeper areas. Leaving an overall depth of up to 10mm for the final application. You would still
need to apply a tack coat to the surface before application

MIXING:
VubaRend and Aggregate:
VubaRend is available in 1kg pouches. The correct ratio of VubaRend to aggregate is between 8% to 10%,
depending upon the aggregate size. Our 1kg pouch is a “catch all” weight for 10kg of aggregates.
We recommend mixing in batches of circa 10kg of aggregate and the 1kg pouch of VubaRend. Mix using a
drill and paddle until all the resin is fully dispersed throughout the aggregate.
